Meltemi Mediterrania is an exciting new dining concept in the heart of Broadbeach, QLD, brought to life by the renowned Xenia Group, who have over 15 years of experience in hospitality management and culinary excellence. Inspired by the vibrant flavors and traditions of the coastal Mediterranean, Meltemi Mediterrania will offer a fresh, modern take on classic dishes with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and authentic cooking techniques featuring rotisserie cooking.

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for skilled and reliable Casual Chefs to join our kitchen team for the launch and beyond. Whether you’re experienced on grill, prep, or pans — if you’ve got a strong work ethic and passion for great food, we want you on board. This is your chance to be part of something from the ground up, working in a dynamic kitchen led by a talented and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prep and cook high-quality dishes with consistency and care

  • Work across different sections of the kitchen as needed (grill, rotisserie, cold larder, pans)

  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times

  • Assist with stock rotation and daily kitchen organisation

  • Support the team during busy services and contribute to a positive kitchen culture

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (Mediterranean cuisine a plus)

  • Strong knife skills and confident on the line

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure

  • Understanding of kitchen safety and cleanliness protocols

  • Availability for nights, weekends, and public holidays

  • A team player with a genuine passion for food
